Ron represents clients on a wide variety of commercial real estate matters, including debt and equity finance, purchase, exchange and sale transactions, condominiums, cooperatives, leases, tax increment financing districts, zoning, subdivision and environmental regulatory matters and financing and operation of retirement community and healthcare facilities.
Ron is also active in public finance and is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers. He serves as bond counsel and in other capacities for tax exempt and taxable financings, including general obligations bonds, revenue bonds, tax increment financings, anticipations notes, lease transactions and other methods of finance for municipalities, counties, special purpose districts and authorities, school organizations, healthcare institutions and manufacturers. Ron has been selected for inclusion in the latest edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Public Finance Law and New England Super Lawyers for Government/Municipal, and Real Estate.
A graduate of Boston College (1973), Ron obtained his master’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin (1974) and his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law (1977) where he served as editor-in-chief of the Law Review. Following law school, he clerked for Justice Sidney Wernick of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Ron and his family live in Falmouth.
