Michael practices in the firm's Business Services Practice Group, concentrating in the areas of corporate and commercial law, intellectual property and non-profit corporation law. He has represented large, medium and small Maine businesses, advising them regarding structuring, financing, contractual and related matters.
He received his bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College (magna cum laude, 1982) and his J.D. from Cornell Law School (1985). Mike is the author of American Maize: The Duty of Directors in Maine Mergers.
Mike serves as a Director on the Boards of Portland's Downtown District, and the Deering Pavilion elderly housing facility. He serves as Co-Chair of the Children’s Museum of Maine Advisory Council and is a member of the Museum’s Finance Committee. Mike lives in Portland with his wife Beth and their two sons, Andrew and Peter.
