Lee has represented clients in the area of Trusts and Estates for many years. He works closely with his clients to help them meet their estate planning objectives in ways that are efficient, innovative and economical, and to see that those objectives are ultimately achieved through probate and trust administration. Lee has been honored by his colleagues by being made a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, an international association of lawyers chosen by their peers as being especially skilled and experienced in the preparation of wills and trusts, estate planning, probate procedure and administration of trusts and estates. Lee has twice been appointed by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court to be a member of the Maine Advisory Committee on Probate Procedures, and has served as chairperson of the Trusts & Estates section of the Maine State Bar Association. He has made numerous continuing legal education presentations on estate planning, estate and trust administration and taxation, and has served on the boards of directors of a wide variety of charitable organizations. Among other affiliations, Lee is a 33° Mason and a member of the Rotary Club of Casco Bay Sunrise.
Before he became a proud Mainer, Lee, originally from Oklahoma, served in a variety of capacities with the Oklahoma Legislature, including as a parliamentarian for the Oklahoma State Senate. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Oklahoma, and a law degree with highest honors from Oklahoma City University, where he was the editor-in-chief of the Law Review and received numerous academic and service honors.
